Description
This painting was done primarily in oils over an acrylic wash, using a "layering" blend style/technique with paint over paint. The blending with done by using either a small brush or sometimes my fingers, to build on the layer(s) below. The time aspect was lengthy, due to requiring the paint to totally dry between each layer or overlapping color. The original was done on a pretty large 40 by 60 inch canvas.
My works and style are very unique and something I developed alone. "4 Sailboats" is one of my favorite "flow" scenes. I have had a number of commissions in various colors and large sizes from clients that viewed this work.
Please enjoy this special piece and check out my other works, both the illustrations and other painting, on my site. Thank you!

This is amazing as always! XD I love your style and your choice of colour; all of them go perfectly with the theme of the image!! ^u^
I love the "misty" effect and the sharpness of the boats... Normally when I see work like this the main subjects are blurred and sometimes difficult to see but this is incredible!! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
One thing though, I'm not so sure about the positioning of the bridge in the background, however, it doesn't take away from the overall impact of this beautiful piece of work! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
Keep it up and I look forward to your next piece of work!
